James M. Scarmozzino

James was born in Wantagh, New York. He graduated from Holy Trinity Diocesan High School and attended Long Island University Post Campus and graduated from State University of New York at Stony Brook (1978). He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton Law School. While in law school, James was selected to be on the Moot Court Team and competed in the National Energy Law Competition and was also selected to the prestigious National Moot Court Team.

After graduating from law school, James was appointed as an Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, New York and tried over 50 misdemeanor and felony criminal trials between 1984 and 1993. He also tried numerous murder cases as a prosecutor assigned to the Homicide Bureau.
​
Upon leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he was employed at the Law Firm of Weg & Myers in Manhattan, New York as a civil trial lawyer.
​
James was a former traffic Magistrate Hearing Officer appointed by the Court in Lee County, Florida.
​
James was also appointed and served on the Grievance Committee for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
​
He is a volunteer for Hope Hospice and a past president of Big Brother Big Sister of SW Florida. He has also completed Leadership Lee County.
​
James has successfully completed 3 marathons including the New York City Marathon. He enjoys cooking, traveling and reading. He is happily married with three children.

Jason C. King
Attorney at Law

Jason C. King is a Florida native, born in Lakeland to a citrus salesman and a nurse. Raised with a deep respect for hard work and community values, Jason spent his summers working in the citrus groves, where he gained a firsthand appreciation for the environment, agriculture, and the value of a day’s labor.

Jason is a graduate of Cypress Lake High School in Fort Myers. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of Phoenix and later obtained a Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. In addition to his legal education, Jason holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance from Concordia University.

Before becoming an attorney, Jason worked as a litigation paralegal for nearly 15 years. During that time, he gained extensive experience in personal injury, family law, and real estate matters—experience that continues to inform and strengthen his legal practice today.
​
Jason is also a published author, having written several books on legal topics including Florida Legal Ethics, The Duty to Retreat, and Personal Injury.
​
He is a devoted husband and proud father of five.
